FAQ

Here are some of our most frequently asked questions.

If your question isn’t here, Go Here.

A micro-camper is a compact, easy to drive car that has been converted to provide an easy-to-use camping solution for 2 people. It comes with a tent on the roof, a mattress, pillows, blankets, a sleeping bag and sarongs, and two yoga matts as well as space for your luggage.

We have removed the rear seats from the car making it a 2-seater and installed a compartment that holds a portable camping stove, cutlery, crockery, games, tea and coffee and optional WIFI. We have included 2 serves of instant noodles, coffee and tea and there are chairs and a small table.

Click through the booking buttons on our site, include your ID documents and please note an international driver’s license is a necessity for driving in Indonesia. There is a link on our site that connects you to an online international application if needed.

Once you’ve completed the online booking process we will send you confirmation via email. That will include local contact details to coordinate delivery with as well as ongoing support as needed.

This car is not for off road usage. Soft trails and gravel can be negotiated in some areas, but caution and common sense are needed. We have suggested destinations that are easily accessible with our car and appropriate for its use. Camping in Bali is not regulated so you can also find public rest areas to use if you need as a last resort. Many people in rural areas will be more than happy to accommodate with direct private negotiation.

Bali and Indonesia are amazing places to visit, the breadth and spread of experiences to be had is pretty much infinite. We however are a small company and do not yet have a similar level of information and support available throughout the archipelago. We kindly ask our guests to stay on the Balinese mainland for now, with the sole exception of Nusa Penida which we highly recommend. A car ferry is available from Padang Bai.

Bali is a small Island but driving times can vary wildly due to traffic and road conditions. What looks small on the map may take much longer than anticipated.

Information provided is as accurate as we can make it at the time of publishing online and can change quickly.

Camping is still a growing trend and our aim is to help Bali develop sites that are clean, well maintained, ecologically minded and sustainably run.

We do not charge anyone for a recommendation.
